forager_princess
Hello! I've never eaten a honey fungus before and would hate to get it wrong haha. These seem to share a lot of the characteristics I've read about (cap 10cm, firmly attached ring, hairy stem, crowded cream gills) but am a bit unsure as to me the gills look decurrent and the cap is not convex (have heard it should be). I found it on grassland. Thanks in advance!

Rondayvous
Are they growing on buried wood? White spore print?
Dave W
The strongly decurrent gills are a bit unusual for ringed Honey Mushrooms. But, I think these are a species of Armillaria. Possibly a species I don't find here in Pennsylvania, USA.
forager_princess
Interesting, thanks all! I'll go back to check if they are on buried wood, and will do a spore print. Will report back! I should have posted a longer picture of the stem, which was that funny purple colour all the way down.
GCn15
Those look like honey mushrooms to me. Check spore print. I would be pretty surprised if they weren't honeys.
