Z-Unit22
These were all seen on a hike in Eastern Pennsylvania in November. Mainly a White Oak and Birch forest I believe. The one polypore had dark red droplets of liquid on them that looks like like gems. The other white polypore was found near a stream. The other was possibly a bolete? I have no idea what the colorful ones I found at the base of a tree under some leaves.
vitog
It would be helpful if all of the photos were right side up.
Dave W
Also, when hoping for an ID proposal, it's best to create a separate post for each type of mushroom. Otherwise, the discussion is apt to become confusing.
Z-Unit22
Resinous Polypore and possibly mica cap.
Dave W
Yup, the polypores seen in the first several photos are Ischnoderma resinosum. Also seen in subsequent photos are a species of Coprinellus section Micacei (aka. Mica Caps). I think the white polypores are a species of Trametes, maybe T. pubescens or T. gibbosa. I also see some photos of at least one species of Hypholoma.
vgc
Few top pictures are really cool. What is the term for mushroom sap/dew like secretion?
Z-Unit22
Guttation or weeping is the only thing I know about the process.
