  1. odor is about right but no hints of blue. tiny nibble was pleasant like a button with maybe a hint of pepper. think i'll fry up a sample and see how it goes. great help as always!

  3. mixed hardwood forest growing in clumps on dead wood. white spore print. fibrous stalk.

  6. found this one in a mixed hardwood forest, lots of beech, in a low area next to a large creek. didn't look like it had flooded. good layer of leaf litter.
  7. might be chicken of the woods. i have found similar under a particular oak and they never get any bright orange coloration. big ones too! i've tasted numerous times and just like COTW
  8. only my 2nd year hunting but since the remnants of the hurricane blew through the shroomin has been boomin. my first black trumpets (several patches), tons of bicolors, lots of the cinnabars and subglabripes. burnt oranges and old mans. shoulda bought that dehydrator.
  9. i'm no expert but looks like ones i've found and consumed.
  10. hey Scott - i'm in Media and new to shrooming since early summer. been lucky so far with quite a few edibles. focusing within a few mile radius but hoping to expand for better locales.
