I love to take pictures so one day walking with the camera I decided to take some mushs and start to learn about it. I have intentions of buy books and stuff but I need your help to identify this cute little mushs I took from my last walking around. Name of them, some information it will be very wellcome! Dave W
When harvesting mushrooms for the purpose of ID, it's best to try to get the entire mushroom. Often, the base of the stalk gives useful information. A clear photo of the underside of one or more cap is very useful. Spore print color is good info. See the thread which explains this stuff... here in this forum. Several species here (above). The grayish very thin fragile caps look like a Mycena species. The larger ones may be a type of Amanita, but I'd need to see more characteristics before I would offer this suggestion with any confidence. Many Amanitas are poisonous, some deadly. Last little one (last two pics)... I think this may be a type of Gymnopus... Collybia in the older manuals.
Feral Boy
To get closer shots, you can try to shoot through a magnifying class. That can help a lot.
