Magizi
Found these just today. Seen them before on the lawn, always close to our pine trees, and they seem to like the sandy soil. My Polish friend calls them yellow sponge, but I can't find anything online to identify them. I've got over a pound of them, and would love to get some input. Thanks in advance! Magizi Another tidbit, when I was brushing off the grass bits, I noticed my fingertips got stained almost black. Maybe Ash tree bolete? That's the closest I've found in my online hunt... Dave W
Species of Suillus. I see no remnant of a partial veil on any of the stalks. But, the stalks are all trimmed, so maybe there were rings? When harvesting mushrooms for discussion if ID it's best to extract/.photograph the entire fruit bodies.
