theplanets
Can someone help ID this growing on my lawn this morning? It wasn't there last night. Smells mealy. No ring on stalk. No bulb on root. Top Mature specimen Underside of large and mid size specimens, along with a young one just about to emerge.
Dave W
Gills are attached to the stalk, so this rules out Pluteus. Spore print color may be helpful with this one. I think they are a species of Entoloma. If so, then the print will be rich salmon pink. Most Entolomas are reported as either poisonous or suspect.
