Hello everyone,

I'm brand new here so I'll start by introducing myself.

I've lived in northeast Pennsylvania most of my life and I've had some interest in mushrooms since I was a kid. First wild mushroom I ever ate was Grifola Frondosa when I was 13. My friend and I found it while roaming the woods and his Mom cooked it up for us.

My interest has grown slowly ever since but has picked up steam more and more as I've learned. In addition to foraging, I have about 60 shiitake logs and plan to add more and probably some oyster mushroom logs this winter.

This spring I found the Wyoming Valley Mushroom Club and promptly joined with  my wife and daughter. Going on monthly club forays with Dave W and the other members has been incredibly informative and enjoyable.

I've been lurking here for a couple weeks since Dave W introduced me to the forum and I thought it would be good to join in the conversation.
