Found this group of mushrooms in northern CA in the soil.

Growing in clusters from a tree stump and on the ground next to it.

Smells really earthy, almost like worms. Not sure what kind of tree.

I’m new to this. Found it growing alone next to a magnolia tree in the ground. Clean white when I cut it open, doesn’t really have a smell.
