Please help to ID this brown outside purple inside mushroom found in NJ mixed forest on a sandy soil. I did not have a chance to take it home for a spore print.
Thank you GCn15. I'll probably pass on laccaria but I am still interested in possible matsutake from a previous post. I definitely want to identify it with more certainty.
