Is this chicken of the woods?

Does look a bit unusual for Laetiporus... large somewhat concave fronds. And the mention of hard/brittle surface seems wrong. But, I can't think of any other ID proposal that fits. Species of Picipes are vaguely similar. But the bright yellow undersides really point toward Laetiporus. As has been suggested, maybe this one dried out in situ instead of progressing to decay?
