Brick Caps (Hypholoma lateritium) looks like a good possibility here. H. lateritium grows on hardwood. The similar H. capnoides grows on conifer wood. The one to be aware of is H. fasciculare. This one has green gills when young, but as the dark spores mature the gills will darken. H. fasciculre is toxic.
