This is not a forum for psychedelics. Take your question to https://www.shroomery.org/

This is a mushroom identification forum and that’s a mushroom.  I can’t identify that mushroom.

I wonder if you would have the same attitude if someone posted G.  Junonius?

btw I posted G. junonius a few weeks back, and Dave helped with the Id.  Nobody told me to take it to shroomery.

Likely a species of Panaeolus. But beyond this, difficult to say. Maybe P. acuminatus http://www.mushroomexpert.com/panaeolus_acuminatus.html . I don't see any blue staining on the mushroom pictured; judging from the species name "cyanescens" I think this would be expected.

I agree that refusing to discuss mushroom identity based upon pre-judging the collectors motives is a slippery slope that I would rather avoid. But, if/when it becomes clear that a person's intention is to discuss psychoactive properties of fungi, then that person is referred to Shroomery.

Tasso is simply trying to maintain the prevailing nature of the discussions that people seek out here at WMH. There have been a few instances in which an individual was quite adamant about discussing psychoactive properties.
