Jared Posted October 10, 2020 Report Share Posted October 10, 2020 Not sure in the species, but if you’re planning on eating them, make sure they’re PURE white on the inside, I saw in one of the pics it was yellowish. Dave W Posted October 11, 2020 Report Share Posted October 11, 2020 I think these are a species of Calvatia. Bovista have smooth outer surfaces. C. cyathiformis and C. craniiformis are very similar. These look more like C. cyathirofmis to me. But you really need to wait until coimpletely mature spores are pbserved. C. cyathiformis has purple-gray spores.
