Hey guys I’m not sure what this is. My buddy says chanterelles but the flesh is not white? Any ideas?

No fruity smell either. He said it smells like a mushroom

I should add it’s growing on a grassy path terrestrially

Photo showing sectioned mushrooms appears to show white interior flesh. As already suggested, if a chanterelle becomes saturated with rain  the yellow pigment may bleed a bit into the interior.
