dakotabob
I was going to bring this up when there was a discussion about Gyromitra a little while back. In the March/April 2014 edition of the Mycophile, there was an article entitled "Is that a Gyromitre? Which one? Can I eat it?" by Michael W. Beug PhD. In the article, they reported that there has never been a case of poisoning involving G. korfii and only six involving G. Montana. One of those after investigation, turned out to be a misidentification with G. esculenta. The conclusion of the article was that G. korfii and G. Montana were safe to eat if you took the precaution of cooking them outside. I was wondering if anyone else read this article and what there opinion was? dakotabob
You can tell that I am 100% Polish. My title should read Article on "Gyromita"! Than I spelled it wrong again when I wrote the name of the article. It should read, "Is that a Gyromitra? What a mutton head!
