Anyone care to share some high elevation morel spots?

Recommended Posts

I live in North Central Washington and I’m trying to find some good high elevations spots for fire morels or just morels in general. Does anyone want to share some spots that might still harbor the right conditions for morels to form? I heard the cascades is a decent spot in mid to late summer to look for them, but I don’t really feel the want to drive over 2 hours just to “see” if there’s anything worthwhile. I’ve found various puffballs at higher elevations but maybe there are morels where the snow is just starting to melt off? I’ve never hunted anywhere further than an hour away so I’m a little weary on locations, as I’m still a beginner. Any help is appreciated!
