willow
Found today, I'm not where this mushroom was originally growing. It looks like someone picked it up, moved it and then left it on the ground. The cap is white with light brown streak and the gills are pink. There was a discernible mushroom scent
Dave W
Pink gills suggest either genus Pluteus or genus Entoloma. Need to know whether the gills were attached to the stalk or free. Or, if you are able to mount a small amount of gill material and view at 400x with a microscope, then observing the shapes of spores would settle this question. My guess is this is a Pluteus mushroom. But more info is needed to increase confidence.

Dave W
This set of photos looks like Pluteus. First photo shows a mushroom that has been vertically cross-sectioned and the gills appear to not reach the stalk (ie. free gills). A photo aimed straight down at the underside before the mushroom is dissected would be useful. Very likely a species of Pluteus.
