Dave W Posted October 29, 2013 Report Share Posted October 29, 2013 I agree these are a species of Armillaria. Maybe A. mellea. One feature to check is this... Cut a stalk diagonally and observe whether or not the interior is "stuffed" with a cottony/pithy context. Armillarias have a somewhat tough/fibrous outer stalk and the stuffed interior.
