b sharp
I am new to this, any clues to check further would be greatly appreciated to id. I'm in southern Ontario, these were found growing on a decomposed fallen tree. Hard to id the tree species. Grow in clusters ,smooth top white gill. some of the gills extend down the stem, some stop Could it be Pleurotus pulmonarius
Sunny_0ne
Those are beautifully crisp, clear photos, b sharp. I don't know what they are, but I'm sure someone else will.
Dave W
I think Pleurotus is a good possibility. But I haven't run across Pleutorus that are as brown as these. Also, the gills seem a little more shallow than what I'm used to seeing on Pleurotus. Matches well with some of the P. pulmonarius seen on Mushroom Expert. http://mushroomexpert.com/pleurotus_pulmonarius.html
b sharp
Hi thanks for taking a look at the pictures , help appreciated. I thought pluerotus at first, but they were growing horizontal not vertical, some centre stems and less delicate flesh. It almost looks like a russula ,but those are usually found on grass. I still cant eat them, well not this time anyways. I'll be watching for these guys from now on.
