These look like Panaeolus foenesecii. It would help to see the undersides, and spore print color would also be useful. Take the print on a non-porous pure black surface. (You will see the print more easily on white, but any difference from black is best assessed on a black surface.)  Not sure about the global distribution of P. foenisecii. But it's a common species throughout North America.
