nature_freak
Need help identifying this mushroom. Have little experience outside of dendrology. Found while on a nature walk in the pinebarren region of New Jersey. Looking for a positive ID as I wasn't expecting to find Andy mushrooms this time of year. Description: Gills, found on a dead tree, has striations on the cap, very tattered. Thank you,
Dave W
This mushroom is well past prime. Characters are not distinctive. Mycena...? Maybe. Low confidence.

Low confidence. Yes it looks like it's had a rough past lol. Thought it was worth investigating. I found it in the middle of a rainstorm. Thank you for the input.
