MushroomBoy5927
Found on a stump with some younger ones. I am very unfamiliar with these tree mushrooms, but I am aware that these or similar ones are "painter's mushrooms" ID would be nice. Very close to a brook. troutddicted
If you call me an artist, Im an artist! More of a copier 😝. Found a pencil drawing of a forested path on google and replicated it on the conk, a copy paste artist if you will
brendan
ooh nice, I've had playing with those in the back of my mind for a while but never found one... And that's not copying and pasting, that's drawing! And a good one too! I didn't realize it was possible to get multiple tones. If you aren't familiar, you may find early 20th century German expressionist woodblock prints and paintings to your liking.

troutddicted
Haha thanks for the compliments. I pressed harder against the surface to get a deeper brown and lighter towards the background. The landscape was brushed in with a semi stiff shorted haired brush from my mushrooming knife. Have a crack at ‘em - just be careful when tranporting the shroom, anything it touches it bruises.

What did you use to get the winter woods onto it? A finger? ooops, already answered. In my excitement I jumped the gun. troutddicted
Used a thin wooden dowel for pressing the darker spots and mushroom knife for the rest.
