White mushrooms

Recommended Posts

Is the spore print white?  I also see brown and cannot tell if there is any moisture in the pic.

Hi Olena. Those mushrooms look just like the ones I posted: https://wildmushroomhunting.org/index.php?/topic/6562-clitocybe-species-or-not/ .  How did they smell? taste? I did not get as aggressive a spore print as you did. If these are the same as mine, mark your calendar and look for them next year in the same place.

The gills on the largest one appear to have a pinkish tint, but the spore print looks to be almost pure white. If these are a species of Lepista, the spore print is unusually pale.

Other late-season white pale-spored white mushrooms include species of Tricholoma. These types have pure white prints.

Thank you guys! I never seen these mushrooms before. But after laying in a kitchen for a say they had some worms. I guess worms do not eat poison mushrooms. Am I wrong?

Worms and the like have adapted very differently than we have.  They certainly can eat things that would sicken or kill you and I.

Yea...don't go by bug activity. I picked a deadly poisonous amanita one time and threw it in my burn barrel because it was too close to my yard/pets and it was loaded with little worms.
