AshFit
It's been raining for threes days and this morning I went in the bushes where I would normally find shrooms. There I saw and collected some wavy caps look alike (see pictures below). I need help to identify them. From my observation: In Malaysia, the habitat I found them was growing on the ground beside dried leaves and wood. Gills are crowded with irregular pattern. Caps are flat and wavy when matured. The stipe is bare reddish purple colored. Spore print was not clear looked like brown. Please help ID.. PICTURES ATTACHED BELOW
Dave W
These mushrooms are most likely white-spored. If by "Cyanescens" you mean Psilocybe cyanescens, then IMO you are not even close to being correct.
AshFit
Hi Dave, thanks for your reply. I checked again for spore prints and they turned out white. No wonder it wasn't clear at first since I placed them on a white sheet and brown stain was from the dirt debris. Your opinion is much appreciated. Cheers
Dave W
Spore prints taken on paper can be misleading, since paper tends to draw moisture out of the mushroom. The moisture may then stain the paper. A hard flat non-absorbent surface is recommended... or, aluminum foil works pretty well.
