This chicken has legs!

Now you tell me that the chicken mushroom (Laetiporus sulphureus) shown here does not look like it has a nice juicy drumstick right in the middle.2019-9-_105.thumb.jpg.d6186ff98e4b45e3946c35b3c66b6a3e.jpg

Here is the same mushroom only two days earlier and the bottom photo was taken only eight hours earlier than the middle pic. Shows how fast they grow and quickly change shape and color. I'm hoping no one poaches it before it gets fully grown and I can harvest it. I want to eat that chicken leg! Ha Ha Ha!!!

First picture looks like a group of chickens pecking the ground.

Yeah CamilleR, its so cool how they change every day. I wasn't able to get a shot from today, but I'll post another tomorrow. With the rain we're getting now, there should be a good deal of change.

Here are the latest, and probably the last shots of my chickens. They are about to be butchered and fried. Starting to show their maturity around the edges.

This shot shows them on the same log as last year - the white debris is the ragged, rotten remains of last year's chicken. It was tasty.
