Howard Posted September 25, 2019 Report Share Posted September 25, 2019 Now you tell me that the chicken mushroom (Laetiporus sulphureus) shown here does not look like it has a nice juicy drumstick right in the middle. Here is the same mushroom only two days earlier and the bottom photo was taken only eight hours earlier than the middle pic. Shows how fast they grow and quickly change shape and color. Yeah CamilleR, its so cool how they change every day. I wasn't able to get a shot from today, but I'll post another tomorrow. With the rain we're getting now, there should be a good deal of change. Starting to show their maturity around the edges. This shot shows them on the same log as last year - the white debris is the ragged, rotten remains of last year's chicken. It was tasty.
