My name is Howard and I have been foraging and collecting edible mushrooms on a regular basis for about a year. I used to hunt morels with my father when I was a child (a VERY long time ago). I got newly interested in fungi when I stumbled upon a giant puffball as big as a beach ball and, upon verifying is edibility, I ate it. That got me wondering how many other mushrooms I have been overlooking all these years. I take a lot more pictures of mushrooms than I do ones to eat. Being a self-taught amateur mycologist, I am leery of any mushrooms I am uncertain of. I will be sending many photos to the identification forum, I'm sure.
