Growing in my Oregon Garden. Can you help Identify?

Recommended Posts

Hi,  I was hoping i could get some help identifying this mushroom that keeps growing in my garden.  I live in Oregon.  It is growing in our flower garden.  The soil was bought at home depot, I don't know if that matters.

Here are some pictures.

I just found this place, you guys seem awesomept_1568418368040.thumb.jpg.4876feb4981134fee785211f3c32cd85.jpg

I agree that more mature specimens probably are needed for a positive ID.  Right now you can't even tell if they have gills or pores under the caps.

They kinda remind me of psilocybe cubansis when they come up, but I know those aren’t psilocybes. My guess is they will have gills, but that’s just a guess, because frankly, I’ve never seen those before.  I have a book on mushrooms thicker than the Holy Bible, and I reference it often, that one doesn’t appear in it, at least in button stage.

My guess is these are immature mushrooms of Leucoagaricus americanus. If correct, as the caps expand the surfaces will break apart into scales.
