Shroomdingdonger
Hello! My name is Dominique I'm pretty excited to have found this forum! I recently started trying to identify the mushrooms I see in my neighborhood and on my hikes. I realized I don't know much about about mushrooms and I'd like to learn. I'm a pretty curious, semi-social person and I thought a forum would be a great place to connect with other mushroom-curious people!

Dig
Howdy. The PNW looks like mushroom hunting heaven. I am very jealous here living in the desert! Welcome.
Shroomdingdonger
Hey!! The pnw is great for finding mushrooms, but I'm so afraid of picking the wrong ones I haven't gone hunting much lol What types of mushrooms do you find out in the El Paso area?? Dig
Less than 100 miles from my doorstep is the Lincoln National forest. I have found oysters, edible Russila’s, Agaricus silvacola, many Boletus sp., blewit, morels (yet to find a patch, certain they are there), many LBMs, and many odd balls. August to September is the best time to hunt.
