Species of Leccinum. There are at least a couple of western NA red-capped Leccinum. Maybe L. insigne or L. manzanitae. What types of trees were nearby?

Or it might be L. discolor.

It is mainly a cedar/pine forest, with some dead birch, and some cotton wood trees.....
