ID request - (Kent) Oysters and puffballs?

Recommended Posts

I went foraging today and came across (what I believe are) puffballs under leaves of various trees and a fallen tree with what looks like a species of oyster mushroom?

The puffballs I've previouly seen were either young and completely white inside or older and completely black and hollow inside that released spors with very little pressure given - are these a different (inedible) species of puffball as even the small ones consist of the same structure or was i just simply too late to harvest? They are very firm and dense and the jelly-like substance has given it a subtle bounce to the mushroom.

As I am new to this (this is my second day actively searching for mushrooms) I just wanted to find a helpful and friendly forum to chat to people about a common interest!

Many thanks!

Please tell me the oyster mushrooms are edible! :)
