Corey Posted June 3, 2019 Report Share Posted June 3, 2019 Found in woods on top of bluff by Mississippi River in Illinois. Smells very good, not like melons but similar to lions Maine. Dave W Posted June 3, 2019 Report Share Posted June 3, 2019 I think this may be one of the white-pored species of Laetiporus. (Photos of undersides appear to show a lack of pigmentation.) Here in PA there have been some recent reports of Laetiporus (seemingly early in the year). In the past, the earliest I have seen Laetiporus around here was ~May 20.
