Pyza
Found this little guy growing out of a stump, no gills under the cap. Didn’t find any neighbors
Dave W
Probably one of Polyporus ciliatus or Polyporus brumalis. Does the cap margin feature tiny hairs?
Pyza
Hey Dave I think I’ve found these guys again or am I wrong ? Growing right out of an old Fallen branch.
Dave W
Cap colors appear to be different. Stipe surfaces look somewhat similar... former is white with small blackish dots, latter with larger scales. The white fertile surfaces each consisting of very small pores are a match. Possibly the same species.
