Chicken of woods?

I’m relatively new to this but am fairly certain this is chicken of woods. My buddy says it only grows in fall. I know that’s not true.

Thsnks for any help

The earliest I have found Laetiporus was around May 20 (many years ago). The photos here look like L. sulphureus to me. Yellow pore surface matches this species. But, if this was found on coniferous wood, then L. conifericola may be the correct species.

I have found different types of Laetiporus mushrooms June through mid October.
