theplanets
Although the pictures are fuzzy, I seem to see a stem growing from underneath. I believe these are Hypsizygus ulmarius (Elm Oysters, or Box Elder mushrooms). I've harvested lots of these in the Toronto area and I love their meaty texture, almost like a mushroom steak! Dave W
Hypsizygus mushrooms will have a light spore print... white to almost white. Pluteus mushrooms have a pink spore print... not light link, pink which is actually close to brown if the print is thick enough. Link is to discussion from this website on spore prints. http://www.wildmushroomhunting.org/index.php?/topic/290-spore-prints/
