Kylee
Hi there I need help iding some mushrooms my mother and I found today! We live in the Pacific northwest (oregon, usa). Its currently really wet here and we found these amongst a ton of dead and cut trees while hiking through the mountains. There are no gills, but the stems and tops are appear the same color. There isn't a specific smell that I can note of personally. Thank you I appreciate any help y'all give me!
Dave W
Is the underside composed of pores or spines? Can't quite tell from the photos.
vitog
Assuming that the underside comprises fine pores, these might be old specimens of Polyporus badius.
Dave W
Also, were they growing directly on wood?
