Never seen anything like this

Hi everyone, glad I found this forum as I’m having trouble IDing the attached picture.

its really big, almost as big as my head. The underside is sporelating purple.

any ideas?

Probably an example of Clavatia cyathiformis. Usually the spores do not exit through the bottom. I think this one probably detached from the ground and rolled over. The very dark exterior is unusual for this species.
