Aram11.
Walked into my shed and noticed this mushroom all of a sudden. Anyone know what it is?
Gillian
Looks like a species of Pleurotus to me. I've heard that they can get quite invasive indoors.
Dave W
Pleurotus ostreatus or Pleurotus populinus, the classic Oyster Mushrooms. There must be some wood beneath the surface. Looks like the surrounding area is covered in spores that have fallen from the mushrooms.
CamilleR
Wow that's a lot of spores. Never seen them like that before.

Is there a way to have these keep growing? I only ask cause oyster mushrooms are expensive and I love cooking with them
