angela
I found porcini, mixed mushrooms, and chanterelles in brine. I think they were under $3 a jar. No, I did not purchase any. In case someone doesn't know, Lidl is a discount German grocery store that recently appeared in my city shortly after Aldi (another discount German grocery store) arrived. CamilleR
Our Aldi stocks fresh Giorgio mushrooms from Pennsylvania. Sometimes as little as $ .79 per carton. We don't have Lidl in this area. I wonder where those were picked?

diana
I'm going to check my local Aldi for mushrooms. We have a great market in Tampa, Sanwa, that is right next to the wholesale farmers market. Worth the trip into Tampa for me for the unusual veggies and gourmet mushrooms. Great prices of fresh food. The main store caters to restaurant supply, large size canned and dry goods and way too expensive.
