Chicken fat suillus?

Mycophagus

Recommended Posts

Looks like a species of Suillus, and occurrence under pine supports this proposal. Could be S. americanus. Seeing the entire stem would be helpful. Do some of the caps have  tissue-like material on the surface and/or hanging from the margin?

Also, not really an issue here in determining the genus, but in general it's best to collect a spore print on each of black/white surfaces. Other colored collection surfaces make the color of the print difficult to evaluate.
