Dave W Posted September 16, 2018 Report Share Posted September 16, 2018 Gills appear to have crenulate to serrate edges. Do the gills touch the stipe? Or are they rounded-off short of the stipe? Stipe with farinose to punctate surface. My guess is this mushroom was found growing on the ground (as opposed to one wood). Nothing immediately comes to my mind regarding the ID. Maybe a species of Russula? Tricholoma? It may be helpful to see the mushroom vertically sectioned. Also, spore print color may help (although I'm guessing the print is white). The mushroom was found on the ground yes but apart from that I just grabbed a picture out of curiosity, there where also slot of these around the same area...
