Old Oak
Only one of my usual trees was fruiting, but it was a doozy! This is how I fund my wife's anniversary present every year! Still warm, but looking like cooler temperatures and more rain is coming so should have quite a few more this year. Happy hunting!
CamilleR
Very nice score! Yeah I figured I would see pictures from the north or northeast by now. We had lows in the 50's this week so I'm going to check my trees this weekend just in case.

Evan
Nice! I can't wait to start finding them. We've had plenty of rain and more on the way. Just a few more weeks unless the temps start dropping soon.
Old Oak
I’m in Nebraska. Hopefully more to come. I picked them today and think I got about 30 lbs. pretty sure the one pictured is 15 lbs! My new PB hen!

Staveshaver
Nice. That's a whopper. I found some yesterday and today. Not that big, but they were in their prime. Popped up just the last few days. Rain then cooler temps.... hello! I left a few of the younger ones to grow for a few days. More rain and cooler temps coming tomorrow. Gonna hit the old faithful spots this weekend.
Monk
Anybody know if these guys would be growing in Georgia yet? I know its fall but I dont think night temps here have dropped much below the high 60s, with a lot of nights still in the low 70s, i've heard cooler nights are kindof a key factor, correct? MattVa
Monk, I have not found any in Virginia yet.
Monk
Thanks, I figured this far south the season doesn't hit until late October maybe even early November. Hopefully they'll start popping up soon though!
MattVa
Yeah late October to early November has been best for me. I checked my best tree today that's on our family farm and not even a trace of a hen yet. Still finding chants and trumpets here. Temps are 15-20deg above average for my area with a high of 90deg tomorrow......think it's still gonna be two or three weeks before my first hen.
