If I found them up here in PA, I'd say they were Pleurotus pulmonarius http://www.mushroomexpert.com/pleurotus_pulmonarius.html . Pleurotus pulmonarius has thinner flesh than P. ostreatus. Shywiles Posted September 4, 2018 Author Report Share Posted September 4, 2018 Thank you Dave! They are thinner flesh than the one we found last week on a tree stump. So was not as positive as the first ones we found last week. Will check them in morning to see if they are still good. Such a small amount we hate to harvest this was I first time eating oysters and they were so good. Sauté in butter with a little onions & garlic salt & pepper surved on pasta with cream sauce.
