Mark Schoolcraft
I’m new to mushrooms but not the outdoors, and hope to find family here in the picking world Kanawha county West Virginia near Charleston

MattVa
Mark, this is a great place just as Cajun described. You live in a great state for mushrooms. My wife's family owns land in Fayette County not far from Babcock and we go up a couple times a year spring and fall usually and camp, occasionally we camp at the hotel room in Fayetteville hahaha. Always a blast and always something to forage.
Shywiles
Welcome Mark! My husband & I are new to mushrooms also. He is also from W VA in the coal camps of McDowell County transplanted to Southeastern LA where we met while he was on his way to California. That was 44 years ago that he met this Cajun girl that ended his gypsy ways. Lol...You found friends plus a very awesome, knowledgeable, & helpful group that helps us all with learning. 🤗
