kitsapmushies
When i was a teenager i have fond memories of collecting wild oyster mushrooms here in kitsap county washington. honestly i haven't even thought about it for years! until yesterday, when i found 2 beautiful true morels growing in my backyard! I have never found a morel at all, let alone on a suburban property! Last year, i tilled my whole yard and thats the only thing that i can think of causing this. or improving the odds anyway... Are morels common to the greater seattle area? i would never have guessed it. ok, apparently they are...i was just excited.
Evan
What a great surprise! I live in the woods in PA and we find a few morels every so often around the house. But there are many places to hunt them close by, as well as lots of other mushrooms. Maybe this is a sign for you to get out and start mushroom hunting.
