Dave W
A species of Russula, which narrows down the ID to... a few hundred possibilities :-) Okay, all joking aside --with few exceptions-- Russulas are very difficult to ID to species, even with a 400x microscope at hand. Within a single species concept cap colors tend to vary. Spores of different species often look the same at 400x. (1000x will often reveal subtle details like spore ornamentation.) Sometimes spore print color can be helpful. Take the Russula print on white surface so that any yellow/orange/ocher deviation from white can be most easily observed. Also, noting the odor is occasionally useful. The telltale Russula trait is that the stalk will snap apart like a piece of chalk. Here's a possibility for this one, R. brunneola https://www.mycoquebec.org/bas.php?trie=R&l=l&nom=Russula brunneola / Russule brunâtre&tag=Russula brunneola&gro=34 .
