Suillus generally need the cuticle layer on the cap removed and the tubes on older specimens to avoid gastric upset in some. Dave W Posted November 3, 2017 Report Share Posted November 3, 2017 These don't look like the eastern NA version of S. grevillei that I'm used to. In some cases, one name is applied to both eastern and western mushroom species... probably incorrectly. Looks like a species of Suillus... and likely edible but not incredible (as David Arora might say). BTW, Arora would be a good source of info regarding the western NA species of Suillus.
