lisapetersart
I have slowly started to learn how to forage properly after a trip to Phillips Mushrooms in Pennsylvania introduced me to some great books and the benefit of Chaga. My life changed when mother nature offered me 2 huge pieces on my property upstate and now still a novice my husband and I are doing our best to learn what we can. To date we have only foraged miatake, chicken and coral tips to eat as well as our Chaga..we have found lots of others but needed a forum to help us stay safe. Glad to be here
flipjargendy
Welcome to the forums @lisapetersart. We're glad to have you. Maitake is my favorite followed by Chaga. I was recently in NJ and was curious how the foraging is out there. I'm looking forward to your posts.
The Vault Dweller
I have been searching Northeast Pennsylvania for fungi for years, but never found Chaga (though there's a good amount of birch around). I'm glad and surprised you found some!
