Old Oak

Chanterelle Range

Recommended Posts

I'm wondering what the range of the chanterelle is. I've never heard of them in the plains region (I'm from Nebraska), but wasn't sure if anyone on the forum knows if they grow in this area. Thanks.

They are present in most of the Midwest, usually associated with oaks. If you have any oak

woods up there, check them out in late June or July.

I find a lot of them in my place (northern Québec)... with fir and spruce or in mix wood...
