Sherwood
Some random pictures from my last morel hunt. I am brand new to mushroom hunting so I don't know what they are. Just thought I would share! #1 #2 #
CajunShroomer3578
Nice pictures!! Thanks for sharing. Can't help with the IDs though. I'm sure you'll get some feed back soon ?
Sherwood
Thanks! I'm not to worried about IDs. I have certain ones I look for. As a newbie it has been a bit overwhelming for me reading the books I have and trying to ID them. So I look for specific ones and then double check here when I think I have found them. But IDs are always welcome! I just have fun finding different ones.
John Smalldridge
Nice pics. You'll find yourself going back to your previous unidentified mushroom photos to study and identify them as you gain experience.

Dave W
First three pics, looks like a species from the Coprinellus micaceus group. Yellow cup (next two pics), maybe Gyromitra ancilis (aka. Discina perlata, Discina ancilis... The name of this species has changed over the past few years.) Actually, this looks a lot like http://mushroomobserver.org/275687?q=5FB6 I think the small light brown mushrooms may be Kuehneromyces marginellus. http://mushroomobserver.org/275981?q=5FB6 This species is listed as edible, but I recommend not eating it. Confusion with Galerina marginata, a deadly species, is possible. http://mushroomobserver.org/275667?q=5FB6
